Dear Readers and Lovers: A Black Daria Video dedication

Dear Readers and Lovers,

I could careless about this over-commercialized holiday. As my good friend Coco Jackson says, everyday is the 14th. With that, my love song to you.

A hint on what's to come...and Happy Valentine's Day from Black Daria. But really, whatever. xo, Black Daria ;/

BLACK DARIA REVIEWS: 2009 AMA'S

Too many things happened at the AMA's. I didn't watch the whole thing, but I'll start with what I caught, followed by what was online:

J. LO BUSTS HER ASS

No words. I'll let Whitney get up in that ass, maybe a little Thanksgiving Special of "Keeping It Real, Whitney" is in the works. Stay tuned.

WHITNEY IS A DIVA

I refuse to say anything bad about Whitney "THE DIVA" Houston. She gave her best live performance I've heard since promoting her album. Let's face facts. She's just not the Whitney we used to know, but she was the one we remembered last night. Take notes Bey and co.

RHIANNA'S AD FOR BAND-AID/ACE BANDAGES

I hope Johnson & Johnson broke her off for this...was it a coincidence that I thought of Band-Aids and my mind shot back to a bruised up Rhi? Or was I just supposed to be stupid and that was just supposed to fly over my head. And I guess the shoulder pads were to distract me from the lack of singing she actually did while on stage. OK, cool. She sucked anyway. I don't care what happened, she sucked and that's that.

LADY GOO-GOO-GAA-GAA

I mean whatever. I don't hate her, but don't really love her either. I don't know, just always so freaking distracted by the massive amount of shit that she wears, like that alone needs a show. Someone sent my co-host Courtney Brown a picture of the chick from The Fifth Element, and that's a perfect comparison to this outfit GooGaa is wearing.

EMINEM AND 50 CENT - BECAUSE HE CAN'T GET SHOT AT THE AMA'S

I assume that's why 50 performed, otherwise I would have been OK with just Eminem. Maybe 50 fit the quota. Or something. Em's last verse is the best part, IMO.

ALICIA KEYS & HER CHASITY JACKET

I don't really know why the show felt that after she performed with Jay, we needed to see her by herself. Filling that quota I guess, plus Bey wasn't available. Could be a reflection of the music, which kinda sucks, but somewhere Jazmine Sullivan or Chrisette Michele could have filled in a blank.

***THINGS I MISSED (AND THAT'S OK):

JAY & ALICIA

Sounds like Alicia is pushing through her voice...just isn't smooth to me...and I just am kinda like Jay-Z's broach is bothersome.

***PERFORMANCE I WISH I'D SEEN LIVE

TIMELESS JANET

People were hard on Janet about this performance but I thought she did her thing, isn't she over 40? Shiiiiiieeet, if I could remember five dance steps in a row, I'd be proud of myself. This was a mini-concert. I felt Mike's energy in this performance...yeah yeah, I know that sounds wack and clique, but that's how I felt about the performance.

EXCLUSIVE:"Keeping it Real, Whitney" - Special Guest, Debra Lee - Chairman and CEO, BET

Letters poured into "Keeping it Real, Whitney" asking why she, the greatest love of all singer of contemporary music, wasn't at the BET Awards on Sunday, June 29, 2009.

So Whitney did what any good talk show host should do: invite the person who was behind the show to come to hers and answer some questions.

There were tons of issues, but Whitney touched on a few in this exclusive interview with Debra Lee, Chairman and CEO of BET. And I know Debra Lee isn't graying by any means. I've seen her wig up close and she keeps it tight. Xtranormal doesn't have many options for older black women, but that's OK, you'll forget all of that as soon as Whitney gets to the bottom of things.

Enjoy.

Kanye's 2nd Interview with Whitney: A Black Daria Film

From time to time, I find myself either debating or explaining why I am on Twitter. I don't always get to catch the juicy stuff, although one day I found myself staring at a Twit written by UncleRUSH that he later removed. I knew some blogger would get to it eventually, cool.

Fast forward to a recent twit by UncleRUSH again, but this one is too good to ignore. Taken from the pages of RWS, go ahead and read the twit below:

Now, now, I know what you are thinking. That whole Pretty Woman thing is being taken out of context, and he didn't really mean it like that...so...

That's how I came up with this one. Until I figure out what's really worth writing about, sit back and relax. Watch Whitney get up in that ass...you can also refer back to this post I wrote in February for the picture she references in the clip below. Wear sunglasses, it's pretty bright.

I just wish he would stop trying to play us all for fools:

"Keeping it Real, Whitney" - Special Guest, Kanye West

SHM. Kanye didn't get the memo about how Whitney's talk show works. A few notes before you watch the movie:

1. They don't have many options for black guys on Xtranormal (maybe there are more if I signed up for a Premium Account) so Run DMKanye it is.

2. Only one American Male Voice option...but hey, as soon as he opens his mouth with all his bullshit rhetoric, you see and hear Kanye.

Enjoy the show...

***Special thanks to Trevor at Xtranormal, for without his assistance, there would be no Black Daria movies on Youtube :) Sometimes Black Daria does smile.

"Keeping it Real, Whitney" - special guest Aubrey O'Day - A Black Daria Film

In the spirit of the quest for being the next Oprah, Whitney Houston decided that she'd start her own talk show...

KEEPING IT REAL, WHITNEY - special guest, Aubrey O'Day

If I were her, I'd probably had done a little more research before I tried to show up and talk to Ms. Whitney...that's just me though.

"When Whitney met Beyonce" - A Black Daria Film

I couldn't help myself...I mean, how could I not make one of my own...besides, the news is very boring right now...I could careless that Rihanna canceled her concerts because she wants to frollock on the beach with her Dexter St. Jock...could give a flying fignooty, because anytime somebody talks about this no-talent trash, she gets paid...even now...so...

onto the movie, entitled "When Whitney meets Beyonce" - A Black Daria Film

Only proper that I set you up like they do at a television pitch:

Beyonce is leaving her concert at MSG, parading through the streets of NYC in celebration of her awesome show, when she bumps into Whitney Houston in Times Square. Annoyed by the skip to her do-dah, Ms. Houston has a few words with Ms. Knowles about the business of music...

I mean, again, I just couldn't resist. Enjoy the show.
